About This Spot
Stepping into The Grapevine Bar, you’re welcomed by a relaxed rhythm that hums just beneath the surface. This Dallas spot, tucked away on Butler Street, effortlessly blends the intimacy of a cozy lounge with the casual, unpretentious vibe of a neighborhood hangout. Whether you find yourself sinking into one of the plush sofas or gathering around the pool table with friends, the atmosphere invites you to slow down, connect, and savor the moment.
The mood here drifts between easygoing and quietly vibrant. Background music—sometimes live, sometimes a well-curated playlist—plays a gentle soundtrack that never overwhelms, encouraging conversation and shared experiences. The space itself feels curated but approachable, with inviting corners and thoughtful touches that make it easy to settle in for a while, whether you’re here for a hearty conversation or a bit of friendly competition with the games on offer.
The drink menu supports a thoughtful, simple enjoyment rather than flashy trends. Classic cocktails like a well-mixed Moscow Mule or a clean Martini feel at home here, each sip paired well with the unhurried pace of the evening. The food quietly complements the bar’s spirit, with hearty, comforting options like a smashed cheeseburger or spicy chicken sandwiches offering satisfying bites that pair naturally with the drinks and laid-back setting. Sharing plates like boudin balls or crispy chicken tenders add to the feeling of a space where simple pleasures make the night feel a little richer.
What truly sets The Grapevine Bar apart is the sense of community woven through its walls. It’s a meeting place for a quietly creative crowd—locals who appreciate a space that embraces everyone and every vibe, fostering good conversation and easy connections. There’s a genuine warmth that bubbles beneath the surface, a sense that here you can simply be yourself, surrounded by others doing the same, all in good spirits.

The drinks are good and about $10 a drink. It's a nice spot to hang out and talk, listening to music in the background. The have seats and tables, a few sofas, games to play, pool table's. Very relaxed place to go.

The only space to go and engage in a renewable source of joy, libation and good vibes with the best bartenders, staff, cutting edge creatives and visionaries from every walk of life in the metroplex.

Always such a fun bar. Great music (live or otherwise), friendly staff and excellent prices/selection. They have a variety of bar ware if you order mixed drinks and super fun decor/furniture.

My 2nd trip. I've experienced the inside and outside stages. It's OK to dance! So, come as you are. It's an inclusive spot, and you'll find no fighting here. Parkland is visible. It's not residential, so live music can go to midnight and beyond. Easy access to I-35 or I-30 via Hampton south to head back to Tarrant County.

I didn't have food here. Didn't even know they sold food. The bartender was awesome. I unfortunately went when it was slower so it was kind of empty. I loved that they had 2 pool tables, a basketball court, a seating area outside. The decor was great. Did give me gay bar vibes lol lots of couches to sit cozily next to someone. A music machine (I don't know the real name lol) and what looked like a stage. The bathrooms were cool, spacious and clean. And the price for drinks were not expensive at all. The parking lot was semi small and right off butler. Overall a cute bar.

Having moved back to Dallas from living in Austin for many years, I had always missed going to a quirky, cozy divey-feeling bar. The moment we walked in the decor really catches your eye and there is a small stage on the right. The bar has cute light fixtures over it and there are coin pool tables with pink and purple felt. The seating varies from sofas to chairs to bar stools inside. Outside they have a patio that extends beyond what you might expect. In other words it is massive! There is also another stage out there and the ambience is very cool. It almost feels like a brewery with tons of picnic table seating and open air for the smokers who want to smoke and socialize. The service was great, the drink selection was good, and the inside/outside hang out space was really just the best. The only downside that I can think of for this place is maybe that they don't have that much parking space? I mean that's me trying hard to come up with some flaw about this place! Come check them out, period. You won't regret it!

Cool, local (semi-dive) bar in Dallas. Had a pretty good beer selection and chill atmosphere. Lots of couches and comfortable chairs. Prices weren't exorbitant, just pretty average. Glad it was close and we stopped in.
